PUBLIC MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA May 14, 2009 The Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Development Department Conference Room at 86 East 100 South (enter on south side) Pleasant Grove, Utah, to consider the following item(s). Work session will be held from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Community Development Office. Work sessions are public meetings; however, no testimony will be heard and no official actions will be taken on items discussed. Although the public is invited to attend all sessions, public comment is normally accepted only during the regular business session. 6:00 p.m. Work Session - Commission members and staff will discuss: (a) Commission Business (b) Staff Business – 7:00 p.m. Regular Session ITEM 1 Commission Business: a. Opening Remarks b. Agenda Approval c. Staff Reports d. Declaration of conflicts and abstentions from commission members ITEM 2 PUBLIC HEARING – ACTION ITEM (MANILA NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Mike and Elly Kravet for the rebuild of a non-conforming structure (barn), located at 4478 North Canyon Road, in the R-R (Rural Residential) Zone. ITEM 3 PUBLIC HEARING – CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (LITTLE DENMARK NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Doug Eastman for Conditional Use Permit approval to construct a carport addition, within nine feet (9’) of the rear property line, on the west side of the home, located at 577 West 850 North, in the R1-8 (Single-Family Residential) Zone. ITEM 4 PUBLIC HEARING – CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/MODIFICATION (LITTLE DENMARK NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Vance Walker to modify their Conditional Use Permit approval for the construction of a 1500 square foot sized detached garage, located in the rear yard at 950 North 100 West, in the R1-8 (Single-Family Residential) Zone. ITEM 5 PUBLIC HEARING – CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/MODIFICATION (OLD FORT NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Wesley and Debra Grossnickle for Conditional Use Permit approval to operate a tattoo and body piercing parlor, located at 420 West State Road, in the DV (Downtown Village) Zone. ITEM 6 PUBLIC HEARING – ACTION ITEM (MANILA NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Robert Schow for the approval of a record of survey map, to create a new parcel of agricultural land, located at approximately 558 West 3300 North, in the A-1 (Agricultural) and R-R (Rural Residential) Zones. ITEM 7 PUBLIC HEARING – REZONE (STRING TOWN NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Madelyn Knudsen to rezone a parcel of land comprising 0.48 acres, from R1-8 (Single-Family Residential) to RM-7 (Multi-Family Residential), located at 350 East 600 South. ITEM 8 PUBLIC HEARING – SUBDIVISION PLAT AMENDMENT (STRING TOWN NEIGHBORHOOD) To consider the request of Apple Grove PD Home Owner’s Association to remove a small area of the northeast corner of Apple Grove Phase 4 PUD perimeter boundary, located approximately 530 East Apple Grove Lane, in the R1-8 PD (Single-Family Residential Planned Development) Zone. MINUTES: review and approve Minutes and Reports of Action from previous meeting(s). NOTE: Item(s) noted on the agenda marked with an asterisk (*) require legislative action and may require a public hearing by the Pleasant Grove City Council.
