NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The Provo City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of the Provo City Center, located at 351 West Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Preceding the public hearing, a briefing will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room, located at 330 West 100 South. The briefing is open to the public; however, formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers.
Public Hearings
ITEM 1* The Community Development Department requests a code amendment for the creation and administration of the Transportation and Mobility Board as an advisory committee regarding transportation plans and issues within Provo City. City Wide Impact 12-0014OA
ITEM 2* John Dester, agent for Georgetown Development, requests an amendment to Section 14.37.060, "Parking Spaces Required" to decrease the number of parking spaces in multiple family dwellings and apartments with family occupancy (as defined in Section 14.06) from 3.25 per unit to 2.25 per unit for two bedroom units and from 1.75 per unit to 1.25 per unit for one bedroom units. ITEM 3* John Dester, agent for Georgetown Development, requests approval of a Zoning Map Amendment of 1.7 acres generally located at 768 North Geneva Road from R1.10 (One-Family residential)zone to the proposed LDR (Low Density Residential) zone. Lakeview South Neighborhood 12-0003R
ITEM 4* The Community Development Department requests an amendment to Provo City Code, Sections 14.02.130, Pending Ordinance Amendments, 15.03.300, Preliminary Project Plan Submittal Requirements, and 15.03.310, Final Project Plan Submittal Requirements, and other code sections as applicable, in order to modify the submittal requirements. ITEM 5* The Community Development Department requests an amendment to Provo City Code, Sections 15.04.130, Preliminary Plan, and 15.04.140, Final Plan, in order to modify the submittal requirements. City Wide Impact 12-0012OA
ITEM 6* Douglas J. Carlson, agent for Provo City Housing Authority, requests a Zoning Map Amendment for 1.19 acres of property located at 545 West 500 South, from Franklin Heights PRO, 14.50(23) to R1.6 One Family Residential Zone. Franklin Neighborhood 12-0007R
ITEM 7* On behalf of Peter Vogel, Sara Asay requests an amendment to the Provo City General Plan Land Use Map from Residential to Downtown Planning Area designation for one lot located at 285 West 500 North, Provo, Utah, in the Residential Conservation (RC) Zone. Timp Neighborhood 12-0005GPA
ITEM 8* On behalf of Peter Vogel, Sarah Asay requests approval for a Rezone to the General Downtown (DT-1) Zone from the Residential Conservation (RC) Zone, for one lot located at 285 West 500 North, Provo, Utah. Timp Neighborhood 12-0004R

The Council hearing dates will be noticed 14 days prior to the Council meeting in the legal notices of the Daily Herald.
