BID NOTICE
Carbon County is now accepting sealed bids for a vertical turbine pump station, a horizontal centrifugal pump station, and Rain Bird Maxicom Multi-Site Irrigation Central Control System. Bids must be submitted for both stations; bidding on a single station is not allowed.
1. Vertical Turbine Pump Station
A prepackaged variable speed vertical turbine pumping station built with custom fabricated steel piping, valves, industrial control panel, and supporting steel skid. The manifolds, pipes, and structural skids are to be powder coated green for maximum corrosion and impact protection. The controls shall be mounted inside a UL Listed and NEMA rated industrial control cabinet. The color touch screen user interface shall be connected to a high speed industrial grade PLC custom programmed to fit the guidelines of this project. The components of the project are as follows:
Two 500 gallon-per-minute Rain Bird vertical turbine pumps. Must be high pressure cast iron discharge heads with 416SS line shafts, threaded steel column pipe, high pressure packing seals, bronze impellers, and galvanized steel basket strainers.
Two 50 horse power Rain Bird vertical motors. Must be weather protected Type I (WP1), Class F insulation, high efficiency rated, non-reversing ratchets, motor space heaters, 4-Pole/1800 RPM, 1.15 SF, G.E. Motor with 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
One 230 gallon-per-minute Rain Bird vertical submersible turbine pressure maintenance pump and motor assembly; submersible motor to be 25 horse power 2-pole/3600 RPM, 1.15SF.
One 40 gallon-per-minute Rain Bird vertical submersible turbine pressure maintenance pump and motor assembly, submersible motor to be 2-pole 3600RPM, 1.15SF.
Mechanical system consisting of Mitsubishi variable frequency drive [VFD], Mitsubishi programmable logic controller [PLC], Mitsubishi GT1665 color touch-screen operator interface, circuit breaker motor protection, dual mechanically and electrically interlocked contractors for main pump motors, NEMA 4 electrical enclosure with interior light panel light per door, heat exchanger for closed loop cooling of the electrical enclosure, stainless steel pressure reducer, pressure relief valve with butterfly isolation valve, 8” lugged station discharge isolation valve, individual pump silent check valves and isolation valves, flow meter spool with Magnetic Style flow meter, and fertigation run relay, low water level safety float switch, individual pump air release valve, hose bib connection for wash down, integral wet well service hatch, complete skid and piping garnet blasted and powder coated for corrosion resistance.
Control system consisting of Rain Bird Pump Manager remote control and monitoring software compatible with Smart Pump. Rain Bird’s Smart Pump software is to be used for real-time communication between the pump and central-control system for a fully integrated irrigation control system. Components to include automatic alternation of main motors to equalize run time; automatic pressure ramp-up capability, electrical overload shutdown safety, VFD fault shutdown, automatic system diagnostic utility, automatic low water level shutdown safety, individual pump lighted HOA switches, high pressure and low pressure discharge safeties, PLC or VFD emergency bypass, manual mode, main power line phase monitoring, individual motor overload protection safeties, and single phase and three phase surge protection safeties.
Electrical cabinet must be designed to allow for additional future pumps.
Pricing for Rain Bird single scanner filter with 300 micron screen & bypass manifold, discharge zee pipe with (3) ¾” FNPT ports and 2” blow out ports, and all stainless steel lake intake box screen with 12” leg kit.
2. Horizontal Centrifugal Pump Station
A prepackaged variable speed horizontal centrifugal pumping station built with custom fabricated steel piping, valves, industrial control panel, and supporting structural steel skid. The manifolds, pipes, and structural skid are to be powder coated green for maximum corrosion and impact protection. The controls shall be mounted inside a UL Listed and NEMA rated industrial control cabinet. The color touch screen user interface shall be connected to a high speed industrial grade PLC custom programmed to fit the guidelines of the project. The components of the project are as follows:
