PUBLIC MEETING
The public is invited to attend a workshop on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the Sevier County Administration Building, 250 North Main Street, Room B46, Richfield, Utah.
Representatives from Sevier County, the Utah State Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, and the Forest Service are in the process of developing and updating four Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs) for the following areas: Acord Lake/Salina Creek, Monroe Mountain/Cove Mountain, Fishlake Basin, and Sevier/Clear Creek/Pahvant. The purpose of the workshop is to educate property owners of the wildfire hazards and risks in those areas, develop locally based solutions to reduce the wildfire threat, and provide the County with a mechanism to seek grant funding to implement projects.
Your input is critical to the success of developing these plans. All residences and property owners are encouraged to attend. If unable to attend, comments and questions can be directed by email to sevier@geoelementsllc.com or by mail to Geo Elements, LLC, PO Box 461179, Leeds, UT 84746.
