NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Amendment to Orderville Town Municipal Code
Public notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the North Event Center Conference Room, located at 475 North State Street, Orderville, Utah, the Orderville Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to receive public comment on proposed amendments to the Orderville Town Municipal Code.
The proposed amendments concern Title 8, Chapter 2 - Board of Zoning Adjustment:
Current:
Chapter 2 - Board of Zoning Adjustment
The Town of Orderville hereby establishes a board of adjustment. The board of zoning adjustment shall consist of three (3) residents of the town appointed by the Orderville Town Council.
Proposed:
The Town of Orderville hereby establishes a board of adjustment. The board of zoning adjustment shall consist of three (3) residents of the town appointed by the Orderville Town Council. The term of office for each member shall be four (4) years. Two (2) members shall be appointed to four (4) year terms beginning January 1 of even years and the terms of one (1) member shall begin January 1 of odd years. The mayor may nominate and the council may appoint an alternate member to serve an alternating four (4) year term as described above. Vacancies occurring midterm shall be filled by appointment for the remaining balance of the term. Members shall serve with compensation as determined by the town council. Reasonable expenses can be reimbursed with the approval of the town council as allowed under Utah Code Annotated Section 11-55-103.
All interested persons desiring input into this public hearing are invited to attend. A copy of the proposed amendments to the Orderville Town Municipal Code are available for review at the Orderville Town Office during regular business hours.
