SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL SYNOPSIS OF SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE 54 of 2026 The Salt Lake City Council, at its October 6, 2026, meeting, adopted an ordinance that approves the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU) Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP) and the Impact Fee Analysis (IFA), establishing water, sewer, and stormwater impact fees. This also amends the Consolidated Fee Schedule (CFS), increasing utility impact fees for the first time since 1999. Impact fees are one-time charges on new construction that help pay for system-wide water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure upgrades. The fees are based on the IFFP and IFA, pursuant to Utah Code 11-36a. For more information visit tinyurl.com/SLCFY26.
