Pleasant Grove Arts Commission Agenda August 14, 2024 5:30p.m. at the Pleasant Grove City Hall Proceedings: Meeting convened:5:30 pm 70 South 100 East PG, UT 84062 Mission- Facilitate artistic opportunities within our community. Vision- Become the arts center of Utah County. Values- Learning, Influence, Quality Programming, Enjoyment Motions to start: Emma first, Brady second Board Members In Attendance: Stacy Martineau, Emma Martineau, Madi Fontana, Melissa Lindstrom, Brian Fogelberg, Brady Hoggard, Tina Fontana EXCUSED: Emily Hammerstead, Cyd Lemone, Mandi Lundt Public in attendance: Minutes from JULY 11, 2024: Stacy first, Tina second Items for Discussion: Heritage Festival Sep 9th from 5-8 pm (set up at 4, in place by 4:30, pack-up around 7:15) Canada section - with lacrosse teams Making simplified dreamcatchers - Focus on heritage PG Royalty will assist Songwriter Competition Update November 2nd final event at DoTerra - 4:00 workshop 1 - 5:00 workshop 2 - 7:00 showcase event No judge feedback at the event Arts Commission choice instead of audience choice Submissions accepted Sep 1-30th October 12th announce finalists City website, social, marquee, and email list - Start announcing the last week of August Est. Expenses +/- $500 Budget The annual Arts Commission budget is $2,500 CARE total for 2025FY is $44,092.80 Looking for roles: Photographer, Secretary Vote / Discuss budget requests Motion to approve budgets: Melissa motions, Stacey Seconds (_) Theater Expenses - $7,000 new carpeting - $7,000 new chair installation - The city will pay $5000 of $14,000 total - Vote to approve $9,000 spend Unanimous approval Secretary (Emily) Review everyone's assignments for the next meeting EVERYONE: Brady: Brian: Emily: Emma: Madison: Mandi: Melissa: Stacy: Tina: Motion to Adjourn Meeting: First Madi Second Tina Next Meeting: September 12, 2024 5:30
