JOSEPH TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING August 25, 2026 PRESENT: Commission members: Sue Gestring, Vic Middleton, Doug Nowell, Brent Parker, and Peggy Smith. EXCUSED: GUESTS: Tyler Timmons, Zach Childers, Paul Crookston The meeting was held at the Joseph Community Center and called to order by Vic Middleton at 5:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion: Motion by Sue to accept the minutes of the July 28, 2026 meeting. Motion seconded by Brent Parker. Passing vote - all. Against vote - none. AGENDA ITEMS: - Zach Childers: Building application request for Parcel #12-24 at 145 E 200 N. Motion: Motion by Sue to approve application. Motion seconded by Brent and passed unanimously. (Message sent to clerks to put Childers on the council meeting of September 3.) - New PC member recruitment - discussed requesting approval of Paul Crookston as new PC member and continue looking for additional members. - Land use ordinance - Tyler will update the ordinance and then meet with PC. FOLLOW-UP ITEMS: Frank Crowder subdivision approved and recorded. TOWN COUNCIL REPORT - Doug Nowell: ADJOURNMENT: Motion: Motion by Peggy to adjourn.
