Description/Agenda
The Planning and Zoning Commission will be presenting proposed changes to existing Zoning Districts for the Town of Dutch John. Specifically it will discuss updating the existing Resort Residential zone to a Mixed Use Resort zone and introduces a new Transient Residential Zone. Mixed Use Resort (MxR) District: is formulated to promote and preserve in appropriate areas, conditions favorable to high density, multiple family, and mostly second home and/or nightly rental development with a mix of small retail and commercial for service of the immediate community. An individual connection to Dutch John culinary water and sewer is mandatory for each dwelling unit. Transient Residential (TR) District: is formulated to promote and preserve in appropriate areas, conditions favorable to both short-term and long-term residential rentals, to include resort and hotel lodging, along with specified supporting and accessory uses. An individual connection to Dutch John culinary water and sewer is mandatory for each dwelling unit.
