NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WEBER COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEN?
PUBLIC HEARING - OCTOBER 13, 2026 - 5:00 P.M. County Commission Chambers, Weber Center, 2380 Washington Blvd., 1st Floor, Ogden. After the hearing the Planning Commission will deliberate to form a recommendation regarding the rezone to forward to the County Commission. The County Commission will then make a final decision in a later meeting, date TBD.
WHAT IS PROPOSED?
- Applicant: R1-15 zoning for the area shown in blue, which includes area previously designated for residential lots, as well as area proposed for additional lots on land previously designated as privately owned agricultural open space. In exchange, the applicant proposes to convert and convey ~19.54 acres for a public park. The R1-15 zone allows a density of 2.9 dwellings per overall acre.
- County: Riverbend Farms was approved as an A-1/A-2 cluster subdivision, allowing smaller residential lots in exchange for agricultural open space while maintaining an overall density of ~1.5 dwellings per acre. Developing some of that open space would make existing lots nonconforming to this density standard. The County is therefore considering R1-15 zoning for existing Riverbend lots, which is consistent with their smaller-lot residential character, and O-1 zoning for the proposed ~19.54-acre public park shown in green.
