Planning and Zoning Public Hearing Notice October 14, 2026 7:00 PM Milford City Office 26 South 100 West PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Milford City Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing Wednesday, October 14, 2026 @ 7:00 PM at the Milford City Administrative Office, 26 South 100 West, Milford, Utah. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments on proposed Ordinance 06-2026 regulating Data Centers and related energy uses and facilities within Milford City. This proposed ordinance includes: - Define and regulate Data Centers, Data Center Power Plants, Backup Generators, Energy Storage Facilities, and Quasi-Public Energy Storage Facilities; - Prohibit Data Centers and Data Center Power Plants in all zoning districts within Milford City; - Allow Backup Generators as permitted accessory uses subject to applicable standards; - Allow Quasi-Public Energy Storage Facilities as permitted uses in the Industrial Park (IP) and Manufacturing (M) zoning districts, subject to specific development, safety, environmental, decommissioning, screening, noise, and continuing compliance standards; and - Establish enforcement and penalty provisions related to these uses. The public is invited to attend and provide comments regarding the proposed ordinance. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review at the Milford City Administrative Office during regular business hours.
