KAYSVILLE CITY PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Kaysville City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Kaysville City Municipal Building Council Chambers located at
23 East Center Street, Kaysville, to consider the enactment of new section of code:
Kaysville City is considering a text amendment to clarify animal-structure setback requirements following the recent adoption of regulations allowing detached accessory dwelling units (DADUs). Current City Code requires certain animal structures to be set back from a 'dwelling,' which could unintentionally require setbacks from both the primary home and a DADU located on the same property. The proposed amendment would clarify that the required setback is measured from the primary dwelling, helping preserve existing animal-keeping standards while avoiding unintended restrictions created by the addition of a DADU.
