- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Layton City Appeal Board will conduct an appeal hearing on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the Layton City Center, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah in the City Council Chambers. The purpose of the hearing is to hear and consider an employee appeal filed pursuant to Utah Code 10-3-1106 and Chapter 2.55 of the Layton Municipal Code regarding disciplinary action taken by Layton City. The Appeal Board will take and receive evidence and hear and determine the matter relating to the disciplinary action that is the subject of the appeal. The employee and the City may appear, present evidence and testimony, examine witnesses, and otherwise participate in accordance with applicable law and City procedures. Following the hearing, the Appeal Board may enter into a Closed Session for deliberation. This hearing will be open to the public. Because this proceeding is an administrative employee appeal, attendance by the public does not constitute an opportunity for public comment or participation in the evidentiary hearing.
