Approved Minutes of the Southwester Special Service District Meeting held on Thursday July 16, 2026, at 7:00 pm At the Winchester Hills Fire Station, Winchester Hills, Utah I. Call to Order A. Invocation - Don Ruesch B. Pledge of Allegiance - Cheryl Christensen C. Attendance - Ferris Emery, Kathy Farnsworth, Don Ruesch, Cheryl Christensen and Chief Christensen. Rich Kelly excused out of town II. Public comments No Public in Attendance III. Reports A. Fire Chief's Report - Since May 21, 2026, 1 illegal burn. June- 4 calls 3 sicknesses and 1 fire mutual aid Dixie Downs. July - 6 calls 3 sicknesses, 3- fire 1 mutual aid Enterprise and 2 illegal burn. Training for fire 1 certification going well, extractor project going well, donated ice machine for fire station, donated sink and a pallet of bottled water. B. Approve May 2026 minutes - Cheryl made a motion to approve the May 2026 minutes, Don 2nd that motion approved with board members present. IV. Approval of Financial Reports A. Rich Financial reports - review March & April 2026- Don made a motion to approve the March, April, May and June financials 2026, Kathy 2nd that motion approved with board members present. B. Bills - utilities, check for Tatum, check for Daryl for equipment reimbursements, check for Cheryl Christensen reimbursement for food at Dixie Downs fire. Don made a motion to approve the bills, Kathy 2nd that motion approved with board members present. C. Deposits - One deposit Rent payment V. Business - Cheryl called Washington county for the Truth and Taxation no one answered she left a message and haven't heard back so far. Cheryl called Enbridge about moving the Winchester sign in front of fire house because they blocked it with the wall they built, they stated they would come and look at it. Don made a motion to adjourn, Cheryl 2nd that motion all approved with board members present. Next scheduled meeting September 17, 2026
