Description/Agenda: WCSSD PUBLIC NOTICE 10/07/2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2026, at 3:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Wasatch County Administration Building, 25 North Main Street, Heber City, Utah. Regarding a bill passed in the General Legislative Session, H.B. 53, Litter Cleanup Amendments. This legislation mandates that all permitted landfills and transfer stations within the State of Utah implement a fee for vehicles arriving with unsecured loads. This measure aims to reduce roadside litter and fund state-wide abatement programs. The effective date of the legislation was May 7, 2025. Administrative rules require facilities must commence collection of the minimum $10.00 unsecured load fee. Compliance with this collection start date is mandatory for all identified facilities.
