DEQ-LHD Governance Committee Agenda September 22, 2026 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm MASOB Wasatch Conference Room #4124 1. Chair: Nathan Lundstad (DEQ) 2. Approval of August 25, 2026 Minutes 3. Grants, if needed 4. Other Items a. Battery Fire Guidance. The increasing need for fire service guidance on managing battery fires and preventing storm drain contamination. It was stated that research EPA and regional guidance to present at an upcoming meeting. b. Update to bylaws: Article VI, page #2. LHDs will submit a combined pass-through funding report to DEQ via the Utah Association of Local Health Departments (UALHD), which DEQ will then forward to the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee. 5.
