CENTRAL DAVIS SEWER DISTRICT REQUEST FOR QUOTATION Truck-Mounted Mixer Quotation Due: October 1, 2026 @ 10:00 am Central Davis Sewer District (CDSD) is requesting quotations for the furnishing and delivery of one (1) new truck-mounted mixer unit, complete and ready for operation. The equipment shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements listed below. 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The proposed equipment shall be new, unused, current production equipment and shall include all components necessary for a complete and operational system. Equivalent equipment from any manufacturer will be considered. Vendors shall clearly identify any deviations from the minimum specifications. 2. MIXER REQUIREMENTS The mixer shall have, at a minimum: - Mixing capacity of approximately 620 cubic feet. - Mixing chamber approximately 16 feet in length. - Mixing tub and auger bottoms constructed of minimum 3/8-inch steel. - Heavy-duty rotor and auger tubes. - Forward-pitched rotor with full-length wipers. - Top auger with minimum 3/8-inch flighting. - Lower auger with minimum 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch flighting. - Two (2) cross-bar assemblies. - Enclosed rear oil bath. - Heavy-duty bearings on augers and rotor front end. - Heavy-duty roller chain drive. - High-strength splined drive shafts for both augers. - Flanged auger tubes at the drive end. - Approximately 24-inch discharge spout with rubber extension and magnets. - Heavy reduction gearbox with heavy-duty telescoping driveline. - Hydraulic-operated door and spout with four-way joystick control. - Heavy-duty rear bumper. - Observation ladder with two-rung extension. - Single-axle steel fenders with mud flaps. 3. HYDRAULIC DRIVE The mixer shall be equipped with a hydraulic drive system capable of providing adequate power for the mixer under normal operating conditions. The hydraulic system shall include: - Hydraulic pump and motor drive assembly. - Electronic or equivalent control system. - Necessary mounting, plumbing, controls, and accessories for a complete installation. 4. SCALE SYSTEM The unit shall include an integrated weighing system consisting of: - Load cells. - Junction box. - Scale frame. - Remote display. - Scale power supply and associated wiring. - Remote indicator mounting bracket. - Digital scale controller with remote and/or serial communication capability. - Bluetooth or equivalent wireless communication capability. The scale system shall be installed, calibrated, and operational upon delivery. 5. TRUCK CHASSIS The mixer shall be mounted on a new heavy-duty truck chassis meeting or exceeding the following minimum requirements: - 4x2 configuration, or equivalent configuration appropriate for the application. - Diesel engine. - Approximately 330 horsepower. - Approximately 1,000 ft-lbs. torque. - Automatic transmission. - Front axle rated at approximately 10,000 pounds. - Rear axle rated at approximately 23,000 pounds. - Suspension rated for the required gross vehicle weight. - Rear axle ratio approximately 7.17, or equivalent suitable ratio. - Heavy-duty radiator/cooling system appropriate for the application. - Air conditioning system. - Dual-element air filtration system or equivalent. - Required engine air filtration system. 6. CONTROLS AND ACCESSORIES The quotation shall include all controls, wiring, mounting hardware, and accessories required for a complete operating unit, including: - 12-volt controls. - Clearance lights. - Hydraulic controls. - Scale controls. - Remote scale display. - Required power block and scale power cord. - Armrest/control mounting, where applicable. - Additional axle-end springs or equivalent suspension components necessary to support the completed unit. 7. INSTALLATION The vendor shall provide complete installation of: - Mixer assembly. - Hydraulic drive system. - Fenders. - Rear bumper. - Required lights. - Scale system and accessories. - All associated wiring, controls, and mounting components. The completed unit shall be delivered fully assembled and ready for operation. 8. DELIVERY The quotation shall include delivery to Central Davis Sewer District, 2200 South Sunset Drive, Kaysville, Utah 84037, unless otherwise stated. The vendor shall provide an estimated delivery date with the quotation. 9. WARRANTY The vendor shall provide manufacturer warranties for the truck chassis, mixer, hydraulic system, scale system, and other major components. Warranty information shall be included with the quotation, including: - Warranty duration. - Components covered. - Parts and labor coverage. - Procedures for warranty service. 10. QUOTATION REQUIREMENTS Vendors shall provide: 1. Manufacturer and model of proposed equipment. 2. Detailed description of the proposed mixer and truck chassis. 3. Confirmation that the equipment meets or exceeds each minimum specification. 4. Identification of any exceptions or deviations. 5. Itemized purchase price. 6. Delivery cost. 7. Installation cost. 8. Warranty information. 9. Estimated delivery date. 10. Any applicable taxes or fees. 11. Total quoted price. 11. ALTERNATE EQUIPMENT CDSD will consider equipment that does not exactly match the specifications provided, provided the vendor demonstrates that the proposed equipment is equal to or better than the minimum requirements. CDSD reserves the right to reject any quotation that does not substantially meet the requirements of this RFQ. 12.
