Bluff Water Works Special Service District Meeting Minutes for July 8, 2026 Called meeting to order: 7:05 In attendance: Marx Powell, Amer Tumeh , Steve Simpson, Mike Yearus, Jennifer Davila, Antonio Davila (water maintenance) Kristen Bushnell (water operator) Absent: Brandt Hart Audience: Gary Haws, Approval of minutes: Simpson: motions to approve the minutes Yearus: seconds the motion Passes Unanimously Community Input: None Culinary Water: Powell: We are having piping issues with the plant. We are at this point solely on the 94 and Coral wells which are the low arsenic wells until the new pipes come in. We are still working on finding funding for a whole new computer system to upgrade the office computer. We will most likely need to obtain a grant in order to do that because it will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000. Unfinished Business: The insurance has gone up We have 2 payments left on the CBDG loan Water Meter Applications: Application for a new water meter for Donna and Patti Hortin Simpson motions to approve the meter Tumeh seconds the motion Passes unanimously Meter Report: Powel: We have received the deposit to change the valve system at the old elementary school. We have the parts ordered and when they are in we will get it all installed. Bills to Pay: See Treasures Report Simpson motions to pay the bills as presented Yearus seconds the motion Passes unanimously Other: Bushnell finalized the CCR, the lead and copper bottles are in the office and need to be taken and sent off Next meeting: Aug 12th, 2026 Meeting adjourned: 7:12.
