PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING NOTICE
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Vermillion Cliffs Special Service District of Kane County, State of Utah will hold a public meeting that will include a public hearing for the District located in the Commission Chambers at the Kane County Courthouse, 76 N. Main Street, Kanab, Utah on Monday, September 14th, 2026 at the hour of 7:00 P.M.
The purpose of this hearing and meeting is regarding the proposed adoption of the Annual Escalator of six percent (6%) to the Districts existing Annual Base Fee.
The Annual Base Fee shall continue to be calculated at 0.00135 of the certified taxable value of all properties within the District. An Annual Escalator equal to six percent (6%) of the calculated Annual Base Fee shall be added to the Annual Base Fee for each applicable contract year. This is due to the fire service agreement with Kanab City which requires a 6% increase after the first year of service.
