- NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING LA SAL AREA WATER PROJECT - SAN JUAN COUNTY, UTAH Public Notice is hereby given that the San Juan County Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., during its regularly scheduled Commission meeting. The meeting will be held at the San Juan County Commission Chambers located at 117 South Main Street, Monticello, Utah 84535. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment regarding the proposed La Sal Area Water Project and San Juan County's anticipated application to the Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) for up to $11.5 million in project funding, which may consist of a combination of grant and loan funds. San Juan County has received grant funding to complete a feasibility study for the La Sal Area Water Project and is now preparing an application for additional funding to assist with the project. The proposed CIB funding would assist with costs associated with the development and implementation of the La Sal Area Water Project. The public hearing will provide residents, property owners, and other interested parties an opportunity to learn about the proposed project, the anticipated funding request, potential financing options and financial impacts, and to provide comments regarding the project and the County's proposed CIB funding application. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the public hearing by emailing them to lduncan@sanjuancountyut.gov and must be received by Friday September 11, 2026.
