PLEDGE OF ALLEIGANCE
MINUTES:
Minutes were read, Gene motioned to accept minutes as read, Doug seconded the motion. All were in favor.
MAYOR UPDATES:
Tyler helped the PC update the WUI plan with an updated ordinance. Zac motioned to accept the WUI plan with an updated ordinance number. Doug seconded the motion. All were in favor.
The leak that was thought to be in front of Judd Christensen's house was actually in front of the Uden's rentals. It was on the town's side. A&D Jensen fixed it.
The town had its audit this week. It went well and there were no concerns.
The mayor has been joining in on some of the meetings that Fillmore, Monroe, and Beaver have been having concerning fires and flooding. He would like to take a look at our coverts around town and make sure they are clean and clear and ready for any possible flooding. His concern was the ditch that flowed behind WJ Ags building.
WATER:
Wild Land Nursery is requesting a water meter so they can hook up to the town's water line. The mayor told them they would need to pay $1,000 for the water meter and the installation. The mayor could not find any ordinance on abandoned water meters. He would like to have one and a plan for future customers that would like a water meter connected again that has been abandoned for several years. He would also like a fee on the water meters that are not currently running, but that customers would like to keep.
The council wondered if the town's Impact fees needed to be adjusted. If the town is looking to drill a new well, those fees would help pay for that expense. Zac will compare our fees with other towns for comparison.
PLANNING COMMISSION:
There is a need for two more PC members. Ed resigned and Vic is moving. The PC discussed Paul Crookston, but he is gone a lot.
The PC approved the subdivision for Frank Crowder.
PARK:
After Zac serviced the septic tank for the JCC he and Steve located the septic tank/ses pool for the park bathrooms. It has not been serviced for a long time. Zac suggested bringing a riser and a lid to the surface so that it can be serviced regularly. Doug motioned to have a riser installed and the tank cleaned. Gene seconded the motion.
Zac motioned to adjourn the meeting Doug seconded the motion. All were in favor.
