PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Coalville City Council DEVELOPMENT CODE UPDATE AMENDMENTS Public notice is hereby given that the Coalville City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to review, discuss, receive comment, and possibly adopt update amendments to the City Development Code (Code). The Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Coalville City Hall located at 10 North Main. It has come to the attention of the City that the current Code contains language provisions and references that should be addressed, clarified, and corrected related to administrative review and approval processing for administrative applications consistent with current State statues. The City is also proposing various amendments to the Code to address several regulatory requirements and provide clarity, correctness, and possible changes related to temporary signs, commercial campgrounds, business licenses, special events, and other provisions. In addition, the provisions in the Code related to the membership of the planning commission are being updated to be consistent with recent State Code amendments. On July 21, 2026 the City Planning Commission conducted a continued public hearing and unanimously recommended approval of the updated development code amendments to the City Council. All interested persons may attend the public hearing in person or virtually and make public comment. Written comments may also be emailed to Coalville City at cityhall@coalvillecity.org.
