PUBLIC NOTICE: Springville City to Reclaim Unused Historic Cemetery Lot
ATTENTION: Owners and Heirs of Springville City Historic Cemetery Lot
Springville City is giving official notice, pursuant to Utah Code, Title 8, Chapter 5, and as formally adopted by Springville City Resolution No. 2026-28 (attached), that it will RECLAIM ownership of a cemetery lot, plot, or site that has been unused for burial purposes for more than sixty (60) years.
The following lots are affected by this action:
Aaron Johnson Old Section/Block 37/Lot 4 /Plot Number 6
ACTION YOU MUST TAKE
If you are the owner or heir of an unused lot (over 60 years) in the Springville City Historic Cemetery and wish to keep your ownership rights, you must do the following:
DEADLINE: You have 60 days from the date this notice is last published to respond.
WHAT TO FILE: You must file a formal Notice of Legal Interest in the lot, plot, or site. This notice must state your valid intent to use the property for a burial.
WHERE TO FILE: The notice must be filed with:

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T RESPOND
If the Springville City Recorder does not receive a valid claim of interest from you within 60 days of the last day of publication:
- Your ownership rights will be considered terminated.
- The lot will be legally recognized as abandoned and ownership will automatically transfer to Springville City.
