August 20, 2026
Meeting opened 1:05 pm
In attendance: Maretta Bair, Jessica Williams, Vanessa Coulter, Jordynn Hewitt, Chris
Eaton and Traci Frost
Jessica presented on where they are on an insurance quote for Daggett Daze. They
haven't had to get insurance for the past two years. They are still waiting for the quote.
There was a discussion about the budget and how much was allocated for the
fireworks. The TRT board has budgeted $6000. The Forest Service needed at last
minute go no go say the day before the fireworks are approved. The letter of support
from the county helped because they needed to understand that the County was
onboard.
Peggy has been working on a mitigation grant. If she gets it, it could potentially become
a yearly grant. It could help with roads, trash, law enforcement and search and rescue.
The State Tourism board tour went very well. They were very impressed with
everything that Jordynn and Peggy are doing. A discussion was held about building
trails in the area and how the Outdoor Recreation Grant might be able to help with that.
When do the back funds have to be spent? How much can we roll over from year to
year?
In past meetings the committee has discussed using some of the back funds to
purchase the Manila Clinic building once the clinic moves to the new building. Can
Peggy and Jordynn come up with a plan to remodel the old medical clinic so that the
plan can be presented to the commissioners.
Next meeting: September 17, 2026 at 11:00 am. The committee will hear proposals and
then work out the budget proposal.
Respectfully submitted,
Traci Frost
TRT/TTAB Secretary
