RIVERDALE CITY, UTAH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED ANNEXATION INTO WEBER FIRE DISTRICT AND TRANSITION OF FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Riverdale City Council will hold a public hearing on September 15, 2026, at 6:10 PM. at Riverdale City Hall, 4600 South Weber River Drive, Riverdale, Utah, to receive public comment regarding the proposed annexation of Riverdale City into the Weber Fire District and the future delivery of fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue services, ambulance transport, and related emergency services. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment concerning: 1. Proposed annexation into Weber Fire District; 2. Transition of fire and emergency medical services currently provided by the Riverdale Fire Department; 3. Proposed Employee Transition; 4. Proposed Station 41 Lease; 5. Proposed Apparatus and Equipment Transfer; 6. Proposed Service Level; 7. Financial, operational, and public safety impacts associated with the proposal. BACKGROUND Riverdale City currently provides fire suppression, EMS, ambulance transport, rescue services, and related emergency services through a municipal fire department. The City is in the process of an evaluation of future service delivery options and has been negotiating with Weber Fire District regarding a potential transition of services effective January 1, 2027. Preliminary analyses indicate potential operational efficiencies, long-term sustainability benefits, access to regional resources, and estimated annual municipal savings. PUBLIC INSPECTION Copies of relevant reports, agreements, and supporting documents are available for public review during normal business hours at Riverdale City Hall and on the City's website. PUBLIC COMMENT Interested persons may appear at the hearing and provide testimony either in support of or opposition to the proposal. Written comments may also be submitted to the City Recorder prior to the hearing.
