EAGLE MOUNTAIN SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING September 1, 2026, 1:30 PM Eagle Mountain Senior Center 1632 East Heritage Drive, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005 1. Call to Order 2. Approval of Minutes 3. Attendance 4. SEPTEMBER ACTIVITIES a. Senior Center will be open on Tuesdays from 10:00am - 1:00 pm b. Senior Council Meeting Tuesday - September 1st at 1:30pm c. Lunch Bunch - September 3rd - The Feast Buffet in Orem d. BINGO - Monday September 21st - Back to School Theme - Food - Mac & Cheese w/ French Bread (Annette) e. Exercise Class Tuesdays & Thursdays on the 1st, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th 11:00am - 11:30am f. Meals Served - 2nd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th, 30th g. Oil Painting, Puzzles, Tie Quilting, offered on Wednesday and Thursdays 10:00am - 11:45am h. Oil Painting, Puzzles, Tie Quilting, offered on Tuesday at 10:00am - 1:00pm i. Crocheting with Joni on Wednesdays at 10:00am - 11:45am j. Craft class with Joye - Wednesday the 23rd only 10:00am - 11:45am. h. End of Month Activity - Monday September 28th - Movie Night - Food - Popcorn & Nachos Overload 5. OCTOBER ACTIVITIES a. Senior Council Meeting Tuesday - 6th at 1:30pm b. Lunch Bunch - October 1st - Jim's Family Restaurant in American Fork c. BINGO - Monday October 19th - Halloween Theme - Food? d. Exercise Class - Tuesdays & Thursdays - on the 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th e. Meals Served - 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th f. Oil Painting, Puzzles, Tie Quilting, offered on Wednesday and Thursdays 10:00am - 11:45am g. Oil Painting, Puzzles, Tie Quilting, offered on Tuesdays at 10:00am - 1:00pm h. Crocheting with Joni on Wednesdays at 10:00am - 11:45am i. End of Month Activity - Monday October 26th - Chili Cook Off? Halloween Party Style? j. Next Senior Council Meeting is Tuesday October 6th 6. OPEN FOR DISCUSSION 7. THANKSGIVING BASKETS a. Number of families? Stay with 20 Families b. Do deliveries in the daylight if possible and if needed evening deliveries c. Should Senior's donations be expected to donate needed items for the baskets? d. Start Senior donations in September e. Keep ears open in case any of our Seniors could use a Thanksgiving Basket f. Donations or pay for 20 Turkeys? 8. SENIOR CENTER OPEN ON TUESDAYS a. Start out with meals to see if enough Senior come b. Would only need one Council member at the beginning c. When we have enough Seniors then we can add MAG MEALS d. When adding MAG MEALS, we would need two Council members or one Council member and one Token Council member that has a Food Handler Permit e. Hours the Senior Center will be open on Tuesdays - 10:00am - 1:00pm f. Program starts on September 1st g. Council Meeting will be held on the first Tuesday at 1:30pm 9. ANY SENIOR IN NEED OF HELP? 10.
