Entrances to the city - city council has expressed desire to potentially enlist the Tree committee and allocate budget here
City parks -
potential planting project for splash pad
private citizen donor planting for Wheadon Park Main transportation corridors and others
Recommend goals and policies to the city council regarding tree culture for Draper City
4.c Policies for planting of trees for beautification, noise dampening, visual screening, weather protection, erosion control
4.d Recommendations to city council on public relations matters, including, but not limited to Arbor Day, cleanup days, home beautification contests and other tree related city activities
4.e Street Tree Guide
4.f Recommendations to city if desired:
Make recommendations on arboricultural specifications and standards of practices for all trees and shrubbery on City property, and recommend standards and specifications for the work of any person or organization engaged in the business of working on trees within the city
Make recommendations on the grounds immediately surrounding the trees and shrubbery on public property, as far as it is necessary to assure the proper growth, care and protection of said trees and shrubbery
Make recommendations on the care and treatment of trees and shrubbery, including planting, maintenance, pruning, spraying and removal of trees and shrubbery on city property;
Make recommendations on the identification, marking and preservation of historic or notable trees
4.g Develop standards and specifications regarding the planting of trees for new developments, including site plans and subdivisions and make recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council regarding the same
City planning to adopt the planting standards put forward by city engineering for park strips
4.h Develop standards and specifications regarding the planting of trees on public property, including size, location and approved species and make recommendations for adoption in this code
