Minutes of Oak City Town Board Special Meeting Held July 25, 2026 The meeting was held at the Oak City Town Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room. Be it noted that where all those who were able to attend were already present, the Meeting actually began at 9:48 a.m. The following were in attendance: TOWN OFFICIALS Mayor Kirt Dutson Council Member Shawn Gonder attended by phone Council Member Copeland Anderson-Absent Council Member Tom Nielson Council Member Jared Rawlinson-Absent Town Deputy Recorder Karen K. Lovell OTHERS None The following agenda items were considered: A. Adopt Agenda. Tom moved, seconded by Shawn, to adopt the Agenda as written. Roll Call Vote: Mayor Dutson- Aye. Shawn-Aye. Jared-Absent. Tom-Aye. Copeland-Absent. B. Adopt Resolution 2026-04 The Town of Oak City's Updated Consolidated Fee Schedule. Shawn moved, seconded by Tom, to adopt Resolution 2026-04 The Town of Oak City's Updated Consolidated Fee Schedule. Roll Call Vote: Mayor Dutson-Aye. Shawn-Aye. Tom-Aye. Jared- Absent. Copeland-Absent. The Mayor went through the basic updated fees: The new minimum water fee will be $40 a month. All new burials in the Oak City Cemetery whose zip codes are outside the 84649 zip code, will be charged at $1,200. If someone has a plot at the cemetery that already has a coffin in place and they want to place a cremated body/urn in the same plot, they will still need to pay the fee. Two fees for Town Hall usage were changed also. C. Adjournment.
