Notice of Public Meetings NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 1, 2026 at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Sandy City Council will hold a meeting to hear presentations regarding a rezone application (File #REZ06242026-007235) submitted by Matthew Grant regarding three properties (approximately 1.79 acres) located at 11562 S., 11563 S., and 11586 S. Hagan Road. The request is to add the 'A' designation to the existing zone district to allow 'Farm Animals' with associated rights, rezoning the properties from the R-1-20 Zone (Single-Family Residential District) to the R-1-20A Zone (Single Family Residential District with Farm Animal rights). A zoning map is attached on the reverse side of this notice. The City Council is scheduled to hold a separate meeting to take action on this application on September 15, 2026 at approximately 5:15p.m. The September 1st and September 15th Sandy City Council meetings will both be conducted in-person, in the Sandy City Council Chambers at City Hall, and via Zoom Webinar. Interested parties may attend and participate in the meeting either in-person or via the webinar link. The webinar link, and more information about the application, can be found in the meeting agenda, which will be published at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting and can be found at https://sandyutah.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. Public comment will be taken during the general citizen comment period at the public meetings. If any member of the public is unable to attend or participate in the meeting, that person may e-mail the City Council Executive Director, Dustin Fratto, at dfratto@sandy.utah.gov by 3:00 PM on the day of the meeting to have those comments distributed to the City Council. Alternatively, written comments may be sent directly to the entire City Council by emailing citizencomment@sandy.utah.gov. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on August 20, 2026, and forwarded a positive recommendation for the application to the City Council. Zoning regulations, prohibitions, and allowed uses can be found in Chapter 21 of the Development Code of Sandy City 2008 (www.sandy.utah.gov/departments/community-development/planning/zoning-ordinance). All interested parties are invited to attend.
