At this time Colin did a little training with the Commission Members as far as how to look at the Town Code on line and how to find Millard County Maps on line. Lydia asked for a copy of the Town Code.
D. Present and Discuss Subdivision Plat Approval by Dave and DeAnn Steele. Dave presented their subdivision Plat. Everything should be finalized including engineering. He went through the Plat. They have anticipated the need for a street. As far as drainage, the Commission thought it would be sufficient if they just let the water drain down the sides of the road. The Steeles would like to see the public hearing on this held next month if possible. The Commission discussed the Plat quickly.
Dylan moved, seconded by Kendall, to approve the Subdivision Plat for Dave and DeAnn Steele. Roll Call Vote: Chairperson Christensen-Aye. Dylan-Aye. Kendall-Aye. Mason-Aye. Tina-
Aye. Lydia-Aye.
Kendall suggested having all future septic systems set up so they don't go through the neighbor's yard or infringe on others property. Dave felt it best to have them in front yards.
E. Miscellaneous.
Mayor Dutson.
Talked about a piece of property that the County thinks the City owns but he is not sure if the City does own it. Looking into this. If it is the Town's, the Town's Attorney said that the property can't be just given away but must be sold at fair market value. It couldn't be deeded. The Mayor was thinking the city might want to put a road in on this property but might not be enough room. He thought to deed the one little piece to the Snows and keep the rest. Will run this scenario by the attorney for exception. If they want it, they would need to pay for the survey. Will need to discuss this further latter.
F. Adjournment.
Commission Chair Christensen adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
