Box 240 Stockton, Utah 84071 Phone: (435) 882-3877 Notice is given that the Stockton Town Council will hold a regular meeting as identified below in the Town Council Chambers at the Stockton Town Hall 18 N. Johnson Street, Stockton, Utah. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, any individual who may need special accommodations including auxiliary communicative and services during this meeting shall notify the Town Clerk at (435) 882-3877 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. The order of Agenda Items may be changed if deemed appropriate by the Mayor or Town Council. Time limits, if any listed for Agenda items are approximate and may be accelerated or delayed. TOWN COUNCIL AGENDA DATE: July 9th 2026 6:30pm Call to order- Mayor minutes 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Consent Agenda a. Check Register b. Bills over $1,000.00 c. Approval of June, 2026 minutes motion to approve shyla 2nd Emily All Approved 4. Department Reports- a. Stockton Fire Department - Chief Justin Huffman - been working on weed mitigation not present b. Stockton Security and Welfare Mayor Joe Johnston - sheriff 1 citation Arson investigation, 1 traffic accident c. Parks, Roads, and Solid Waste -Mayor Joe Johnston - working well d. Sewer and Water - Mayor Joe Johnston- to not flush flushable wipes, its prohibited e. Water Well Projects - waiting on turbine and pumps f. Planning Commission Report- 40 acre rezoning request , tabling it until next month 5. Megan Allred Stockton Days review- planning going well, 24 vendors, donations coming in from Birch, RMP,food donations coming as well. May need more volunteers 6. Enbridge contract resolution 2026-10 natural gas going through town to South Rim Motion Emily, 2nd Tom ALL APPROVED 7. Resolution 2026-11 Tax rate Motion Emily 2nd Shyla ALL APPROVED 8. Resolution 2026-12 code enforcement officer- Tom Jackson Motion Tom 2nd Emily ALL APPROVED 9. Complaint Form Discussion- Residents need to come in and make a written complaint to begin process. Take a look, We may need call law enforcement , possible citation. 10. Fires Discussion- If any one needs help with mitigation weeds, the town/fire dept can help. 11. Tooele County Growth Summit. Encouraging all of the council to attend this meeting. Meet and talk about growth. RSVP 12. Public Comments time is reserved for the residents of the Town of Stockton, and those who wish to comment on concerns of the town. Up to 5 minutes are provided to voice your concerns or make comments. Everyone will be given a Complaint/Suggestion form to submit their concern officially. The form will be documented and entered in a ledger with the date and time it was received. The town will not be able to act upon hearsay or verbal accusations if proper documentation was not entered into the official ledger for action. The Complaint/Suggestion ledger will be a public document which can be viewed by Town of Stockton Residents or those who have made complaints or suggestions during regular business hours of the Stockton Town Hall. Madison Aviles, Met with Employees for Utah Retirement System. Getting them there signups for their retirement. Madison is a great resource for planning and council. 13. Close Public Meeting- 14. IF NEEDED Motion to move into executive session if needed Executive session: Pursuant to one or more provisions of the Open and Public Meetings Act: a. Discussion of character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; b. Strategy session to discuss collective bargaining; c. Strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; d. Strategy session to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property including water rights or water shares; e. Strategy session to discuss the sale of real property, including water rights or shares; f. Discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devises, or systems; g. investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct; and/or h. Discussion of protected procurement issues, including protected trade secrets. 15. Reconvene from executive session-Announcement of purpose (s) of closed meeting 16. Council Reports - thanks Ron for providing the flowers in the area. 17. Adjourn- 7:41 pm motion Emily, 2nd Shyla Final action may be taken in relation to any topic listed on the agenda, including without limitation, adoption, rejection, amendment, addition of conditions, and variation of options discussed.
