PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Tooele City Council will hold a Public Hearing regarding Truth in Taxation during its Business Meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Tooele City Hall Council Chambers, located at 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah. The complete public notice is posted on the Utah Public Notice Website www.utah.gov, the Tooele City Website www.tooelecity.gov, and at Tooele City Hall. To request a copy of the public notice or for additional inquiries please contact Shilo Baker, City Recorder at (435) 843-2111 or shilob@tooelecity.gov.

Comments will be limited to no more than three (3) minutes per person.

3. Presentation of the Proposed Property Tax Increase
- Tooele City's proposed tax rate increase will generate an additional $238,092 in property tax revenue per year as a result of this increase.
- The additional property tax revenue will be used to fund $138,092 towards the Judgement Levy Bond payment increase, and $100,000 for the fire department to fund stipends for volunteers as well as an administrative assistant for the department.
