1. Welcome 1.01 Chair Christina Baum will welcome Board members to the meeting. 2. Action The Board will take action on the minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting. 2.01 The Board will take action on the minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting. 5-5-26 Board Agenda.pdfPublic attachment 2.02 Board Chair Elections Spencer Jenkins, Executive Director of UETN, will convene the election of a new Board Chair and Vice-Chair. 2.03 UETN Legislative Funding Priorities Spencer Jenkins will present the proposed new funding priorities for the 2027 Legislative Session. 2.04 Board Recognition of Stephen Hess The Board at this time will take a few moments to recognize Stephen Hess, UETN Board member and recently retired VP CIO for the University of Utah. 3. Discussion 3.01 Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Sarah Bauman, UTN Director of Telehealth Services, will update the Board on UETN's involvement and support of the RHTP. 4. Special Presentation 4.01 Special Guest Speaker 5. Reports 5.01 Network Backbone Updates Kevin Quire will provide Board members an update on the network backbone. 5.02 Cybersecurity Updates Troy Jessup will provide Board members an update on the Utah Cyber Center, ongoing training and the new cybersecurity initiative for schools. 6. Other 6.01 Upcoming committee meetings or events: *Quilt Annual Meeting-September 22 in Philadelphia *Schools, Health and Libraries Broadband Coalition-October 7 in Arlington *C-Forum-October 2 *USHE Teaching Technologies Consortium (UTTC)-September 10 *TCC *I2 Tech Exchange-October 26 in Minneapolis 6.02 Board members and guests are invited to stay for a reception to congratulate Steve Hess on his accomplishments and retirement from the University of Utah 6.03 Next Meeting Meeting information will be posted on the UETN Board meeting web page. 6.04 Recording of Meeting The link for the recording of the meeting will be posted here once it is created. 6.05 Next Meeting The next meeting will be the annual Board retreat to be held November 10, 2026. Time and place will be announced at a future date.
