CITIZENS CONCERNS: Mayor Bell reported that there was a complaint that a camp trailer was being lived in behind a home on main street. Everyone was asked to research this and it will be discussed again next month.
APPROVE/DENY: Calvin Bennett Carport
He wants to put a carport against his house, but the house next to him has a flag lot that makes it so there is not enough room. Chad Larsen made the motion to deny this carport and Travis Richards seconded. YES: Kris Bell, Leland Sasser, Travis Richardson, Chad Larsen. NO: none
DISCUSS/CONSIDER: Animal Control Problems
There have been problems with the dogs chasing people on the street. There have been notifications and violations given and nothing has changed. There was a meeting with them earlier this evening. This matter will be taken up at City Council.
DISCUSS/CONSIDER: Ordinance I-2 Advanced Energy and Manufacturing District
Jess Housekeeper as a representative of Valar Atomics is present. There needs to be a plan for an ordinance for this company and future companies that come into our community. Jess explained the wants and needs for this company to move forward. Christine Kurda, City Recorder, said that she will need to post a public meeting by July 30th. It will need to be in draft form to have this done. Everything needs to go through the attorneys from the City and Valar.
ZONING ADMINISTER REPORT: Seth Manning
CITY COUNCIL REPORT: Doug Stilson
Mayor Bell reported that citizens have done well with the water restrictions and we may have enough for our watering needs hopefully until September.
