The agenda is as follows:

5. Scott Wells - Discuss Wellsville City's need for additional revenue.
6. Give public statement on the Tax Increase that is being proposed for 2026/2027 budget year. This Tax increase will exceed the certified tax rate and will be approximately a $ 4060 tax revenue increase. This will be approximately 1.12% increase. The Public Hearing being held on August 19, 2026 to discuss this reasons for the Tax increase.
7. Beginning at 6:10 conduct the follow Public Hearing;
a) The Council shall receive public input, then consider for possible adoption of resolution 2026-07 increasing property tax revenue for Wellsville City. The Wellsville City tax on a $578,000 residence would increase from $254.96 to $257.50, which is $2.54 per year. The WELLSVILLE CITY tax on a $578,000 business would increase from $463.56 to $468.18, which is $4.62 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, Wellsville City would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 1.04% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth.
