PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN THAT the Tooele Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during their business meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall located at 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah. The complete public notice is posted on the Utah Public Notice Website www.utah.gov, the Tooele City Website www.tooelecity.gov, and at Tooele City Hall in Suite 227. Public Hearing on a Land Use Map Amendment and Zoning Map Amendment request by Perry Homes and to consider approval for the Compass Point CSD Zoning Ordinance and to re-assign the land use designation and zoning for approximately 398 acres of property as described in the following:
1. Area 'A' consisting of 106 acres located at approximately 3100 North Main Street. Proposes changing the land use from Medium Density Residential to Regional Commercial and the zoning from General Commercial and Compass Point RSD to the Compass Point CSD Zone.
2. Area 'B' consisting of 38.9 acres located at approximately 800 West 1000 North. Proposes changing the zoning from Neighborhood Commercial to the Compass Point CSD Zone.
3. Area 'C' consisting of 51 acres located north of the Overlake Golf Course, east of the Tooele City wastewater treatment plant at 400 West. Proposes changing the land use from Medium Density Residential to Regional Commercial and changing the zoning from the Compass Point RSD to the Compass Point CSD.
4. Area 'D' Consisting of 198.7 acres extending from 1800 North to 3300 North and 1200 West to the Overlake Golf Course. Proposes changing the land use from Medium Density Residential to Regional Commercial and changing the zoning from Compass Point RSD to the Compass Point CSD.
