NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the South Jordan City Council will hold an in-person public hearing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the South Jordan City Hall, located at 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan, Utah, for the purpose of receiving public input on and reviewing each of the following:
1. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the 2025 program year. The CAPER reviews spending and accomplishments for the City's $253,648 CDBG award.
2. Community needs generally to be considered for funding in the 2027 CDBG program year.
The meeting may also be joined virtually via Zoom.us phone and video conferencing. All those who desire to attend the meeting via Zoom, please visit https://www.sjc.utah.gov/241/City-Council for further instructions on the day of the meeting. Please note that attendees joining virtually or by phone may not comment during public comment or a public hearing; to comment, individuals must attend in person or submit written comments prior to the meeting. To ensure comments are received, please submit them in writing to City Recorder Anna Crookston at acrookston@sjc.utah.gov
The 2025 CAPER will be available for public review and comment from August 17, 2026 to September 16, 2026 on the City's website, sjc.utah.gov/CDBG; by hard copy at City Hall, the Community Center, and the Public Works Building; and upon request. Comments may be submitted at the hearing, or by emailing, writing, or calling the City through September 16, 2026. The City will provide reasonable accommodation, including necessary interpretation, translation, and technical assistance, for all timely requests.
