D. Public Input/ Reports, Non agenda items (limited to three minutes)-
Randy Staheli mentioned that the watermelon bust will be Friday and he will arrange for them to be in the cooler at Ryders on Thursday, and picked up Friday.
1. Approval of Minutes- June 16, 2026- Charles motions, Randy seconds, all in favor, Jonathan is absent.
2. Sergeant Dutson with UCSO- Monthly STATS- Dutson read off stats for June. 40 details, some including abandon 911 calls, 3 animal, lockouts, child abuse, firework, k9 support calls, medicals, suspicious activity, trespassing, VIN inspections, etc. Steven mentioned the South Utah County Animal Board, Dutson will be serving on that as well as Jonathan from our council. The board meets once every other month.
3. Council Updates-
Celebration- it's moving along, may rain us out. Alisha needs 2 generators, Steven will line up cars for the Car Show, and everything is going good.
Charles-property across from his house, the old turner home, Kyle Hofer bought it at the tax sale auction, and is doing a great job cleaning it up.
Poker Run- May need help at the table.
Steven- mentioned him and the Genola mayor have been working together for a while, the road where 141 meets on HWY 6, where the hill blocks the view of traffic, there is always a wreck in that area right there. They have filed a petition to make changes to the road right there and there will be some changes, possibly turning lanes etc could happen.
4. Goshen Town Surplus Auction Bid Opening- Mayor and council opened all the bids and read them off, the results include Red ford F250- (fire Dept)-$775.00 (Chase Steele)
Red Ford F600- (Fire dept)-$1025.00 ( Ron or Hank Price)
Yellow Grader-$1000.00 (SFM metals)
Military Truck-$300.00 (SFM metals)
Camo Enclosed Trailer-$150.00 (blake jolley)
Mapleton Fire Truck-$650 (Blake Jolley)
Yellow compressor- $40 (Chase Steele)
Toro Mowers(2), $160.00(brayden wulfenstein)
2002 dodge utility truck-$100.00 (Chase Steele)
2000 Ford-$400.00 (Zack Kinder)
Chevy flatbed with plow-$1500.00 (tommy waters)
We will be in contact with the winners and assess the other items not sold, mainly scrap metal items.
