PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The ALPINE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION hereby gives notice that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at 6:00 pm at Alpine City Hall, 20 North Main Street, Alpine, Utah.
The city will be receiving public comments on the following items:
- Review of a proposed zoning code that will include the adoption of detached accessory dwelling units
o Detached Accessory Dwelling Units, otherwise known as backyard apartments, granny flats, mother-in-law suites, etc. will be allowed on a majority of Alpine City Single-Family properties after October 1, 2026. This zoning code will be reviewed by the Planning Commission to determine its readiness to go to the City Council for a formal vote of adoption.
Shortly before the public hearing, supporting documentation is posted on the city website at www.alpineut.gov, or by contacting the City Recorder at 801-756-6347 x3.
