Notice of Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 20, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Sandy City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the Sandy Land Development Code. This Planning Commission meeting will be conducted both in-person (in the Sandy City Council Chambers at City Hall, 10000 S. Centennial Pkwy.), and via Zoom Webinar (see details below). The proposed Code Amendments would amend Title 21, Land Development Code, Chapter 7, Land Uses in Residential Districts, Chapter 8, Land Uses in the Commercial, Office, Industrial, Mixed Use, Transit Corridor, and Research and Development Districts, Chapter 9, Institutional Care District, Chapter 10, Open Space District, Chapter 11, Special Use Standards, Chapter 19, Special Development (SD) Districts, Chapter 24, Parking, Access and Circulation Requirements, and Chapter 37, Definitions. The amendments will bring the Sandy Land Development Code in line with new legislative changes to the Utah Code by allowing detached accessory dwelling units to be developed in residential zones if they meet all required standards. This Planning Commission meeting will be conducted both in-person (in the Sandy City Council Chambers at City Hall, 10000 S. Centennial Pkwy.), and via Zoom Webinar (see details below). Interested parties may attend and participate in the meeting either in-person or by accessing the meeting using the Zoom webinar link below. Attendees wishing to comment who are participating virtually must have a microphone connected to their device (smartphone, laptop, desktop, etc.), otherwise you'll only be able to view the proceedings.
