Citizen input 8. Beginning at 6:10 p.m. conduct the following public hearing; a. The Council shall receive public input and consider for approval a code amendment, amending title 10 Wildland/Urban Interface Fire Safety (FS) Overlay Zone, adopting the 2006 Utah Wildland-Urban Interface Code, Wellsville City Wildland-Urban Interface Map, and the 2003 Edition of the International Wildland-Urban Interface Code. 9. Mayor Lindley - Recognize Jade Weeks a Wellsville Resident and winner of the Utah based American Heroes Student Art Contest. 10. City Council Mid Term Vacancy a. City Recorder Scott Wells - To explain the statutory and municipal procedures governing the filling of the mid-term vacancy on the City Council, include method of candidate selection and appointment. b. Interview of Candidates for City Council Mid-term Vacancy (candidates are listed in the order specified by the State of Utah Master Ballot Position List Section 20A-6-305); Jill Parker Jamie VanHuss Dianne Roundy c. Election of Candidate for City Council Mid Trem vacancy. d. Appointment of City Council Mid Term Vacancy Seat. e. City Recorder Scott Wells - Administer Oath of Office to newly appointed City Council Member 11. City Council & Planning Commission Workshop on 'General Plan Goals and Strategies'. 12. Citi Design - Sign Ordinance update and discussion 13. Give public statement on the Tax Increase that is being proposed for 2026/2027 budget year. This Tax increase will exceed the certified tax rate and will be approximately a $ 4060 tax revenue increase. This will be approximately 1.12% increase. The Public Hearing being held on August 19, 2026 to discuss this reasons for the Tax increase. 14. Scott Wells - Discuss 4rd Quarter Financials for May 2026. 15. Department reports 16.
