The SLVLESA Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Millcreek City Council Chambers, 1330 E Chambers Ave., Millcreek, Utah 84106. Members of the Board may be present in person or participate electronically.
The public may physically attend and monitor the open portions of the meeting. This is a time for members of the public to comment to the Board on any issue regarding SLVLESA. For those participating electronically, the SLVLESA clerk will need to take calls in an orderly manner. The SLVLESA clerk will advise a caller when it is the caller's turn to speak. 3. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Salt Lake County's Request to Withdraw from SLVLESA and the County's Proposed Interlocal Agreement Effectuating Withdrawal.
Salt Lake County has requested that the Board convene this special meeting to consider the County's request to withdraw from SLVLESA. The Board will receive and discuss a memorandum from the County, the interlocal agreement drafted by the County to effectuate the proposed withdrawal, and any additional materials, analyses, staff reports, or legal counsel input provided to the Board in connection with this item, and will discuss the potential effects of the proposed withdrawal on SLVLESA and on the law enforcement services it provides. This item is noticed for discussion and possible action. The Board may act on the proposed withdrawal or the proposed interlocal agreement, may direct that further analysis be undertaken (including a feasibility study), may continue the item to a future meeting, or may take no action.
