NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
WEST POINT CITY
WEST POINT CITY is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
The WEST POINT CITY tax on a $552,000 residence would increase from $215.86 to $236.81, which is $20.95 per year.
The WEST POINT CITY tax on a $552,000 business would increase from $392.47 to $430.56, which is $38.09 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, WEST POINT CITY would receive an additional $86,166 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase.
If the proposed budget is approved, WEST POINT CITY would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 9.73% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth.
WEST POINT CITY invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or virtually.
