ORDINANCE NO. O-31-2026
AN ORDINANCE OF EAGLE MOUNTAIN CITY, UTAH,
AMENDING EAGLE MOUNTIAN MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS 16.20 (PRELIMINARY PLATS); 16.25 (FINAL PLATS)
AND 17.100 (SITE PLAN REVIEW) REGARDING
APPLICATION REQUIRMENTS AND COST ESTIMATES
PREAMBLE
WHEREAS, the City Council of Eagle Mountain City, Utah, finds that amendments to the Eagle Mountain Municipal Code are necessary to improve the development review process by identifying the costs of required public improvements earlier in the application process; and comply with;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that requiring an engineer's cost estimate with preliminary plat, final plat, and site plan applications will assist both applicants and the City in evaluating public improvement costs, while reducing delays during the bonding process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that it is in the public interest to amend the Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Section 16.20 (Preliminary Plats); 16.25 (Final Plats); and 17.100 (Site Plan Review) regarding Application Requirements and Cost Estimates to establish standards governing their placement and display, as set forth in Exhibit A.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Eagle Mountain City, Utah:
1. The City Council finds that all required notices, public hearings, and other procedural requirements have been completed to consider amendments to Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Sections 16.20 (Preliminary Plats), 16.25 (Final Plats), and 17.100 (Site Plan Review) regarding Application Requirements and Cost Estimates, as described in Exhibit A.
2. Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Sections 16.20 (Preliminary Plats), 16.25 (Final Plats); and 17.100 (Site Plan Review) ) regarding Application Requirements and Cost Estimates are hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
3. The City Council has considered the impact of this Ordinance on and found it consistent with family health, stability, and formation as required by Utah law.
4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication or posting.
