PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED NEW GENERAL PLAN Notice is hereby given that the Garfield County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive public comment regarding the proposed adoption of a new Garfield County General Plan. The public hearing will be held: DATE: Wednesday, August 19, 2026 TIME: 2:00 p.m. LOCATION: Garfield County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Conference Room ADDRESS: 55 South Main Street, Panguitch, Utah 84759 The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input on the proposed new General Plan and to allow the Planning Commission to consider making a recommendation to the Board of Garfield County Commissioners regarding adoption of the plan. The General Plan is intended to guide future land use, housing, transportation, water use and preservation, economic development, public facilities, recreation, natural resources, public lands, hazard mitigation, and other long-range planning matters within the unincorporated areas of Garfield County, State of Utah. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comment. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the hearing to the Garfield County Planning Department at: Garfield County Planning Department 55 South Main Street Panguitch, Utah 84759 Email: planning@garfield.utah.gov Phone: (435) 676-1157 A copy of the proposed General Plan may be reviewed at the Garfield County Planning Department during regular business hours and may be made available online at: https://www.garfieldcountygeneralplan.org/ In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations to participate in this meeting should contact Garfield County at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
