- PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Intent to Request Adoption of a Resolution Calling a Special Bond Election for the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council of Summit County, Utah (the 'Council'), acting as the governing body of the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District (the 'District'), will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting to be held on August 5, 2026, to receive public comment and consider matters relating to the proposed issuance of bonds by the District. Following the public hearing, the Council may consider adopting a resolution authorizing the issuance of the bonds or taking such other action as it deems appropriate. Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2026 Time: 6:00PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard Location: Sheldon Richins Building Auditorium, 1885 West Ute Blvd., Park City, UT, 84098, and via electronic means at https://zoom.us/j/772302472 Purpose: To receive public comment before the Council considers adoption of a resolution calling a special bond election for the District. Purpose of the Plan If adopted, the resolution would call a special bond election to be held on November 3, 2026, at which the qualified electors of the District would be asked to authorize the issuance of the District's General Obligation Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $150,000,000, for the purpose of financing all or a portion of the costs of constructing two recreational facilities and related improvements within the District, together with related matters including the posting of a notice of public hearing and the form of the notice of election and ballot proposition. Public Participation Members of the public are invited to attend the August 5, 2026 meeting of the Council and to provide comment on this matter. A separate public hearing regarding the issuance of the Bonds and their potential economic impact on the private sector will be scheduled and separately noticed by the Council in accordance with the Local Government Bonding Act, Title 11, Chapter 14, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
