HYDE PARK CITY MAYOR MID-TERM VACANCY PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a Midterm Mayor Vacancy in Hyde Park, Utah. Any person interested in serving as the Mayor and meeting the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to complete an application. The appointed Mayor will serve through the vacated term of Mayor Bryan Cox ending January 1, 2030. Eligibility and Residency Requirements: 1) Candidate must be a registered voter of Hyde Park City. 2) Candidates must have resided in Hyde Park City for the previous 12 consecutive months. 3) Candidate must not be declared mentally incompetent by a court of law. 4) Candidate must not have been convicted of a felony treason, or a crime against the elective franchise unless the right to hold elective office has been restored Application: Please visit the City Website under forms for an application. You can return the completed application via email to marcus.a@hpcutah.gov or at the city office building located at 113 East Center, Hyde Park, Monday - Thursday from 7:30 A.M. until 5:30 P.M. Application Deadline: The application must be received by Monday Aug 10, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. Public Meetings Notice: Meeting for Interviews: The City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Wednesday August 12, 2026 starting at 7:00 P.M. to interview and select the candidates. This meeting will be held at the Hyde Park City Office Building, 113 East Center. Publication Date: July 27, 2026
