NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE To obtain more information regarding the tax increase, citizens may contact the MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety at 801-567-7206 or visit midvale.utah.gov. Instructions for virtual participation in the public hearing will be available at midvale.utah.gov no later than 24 hours before the public hearing is scheduled to begin. PUBLIC HEARING 8/11/2026 6:00 PM Midvale City Hall City Council Chambers 7505 Holden Street Midvale Date/Time: Location: The MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. The MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety tax on a $503,000 residence would increase from $68.06 to $73.59, which is $5.53 per year. The MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety tax on a $503,000 business would increase from $123.74 to $133.80, which is $10.06 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety would receive an additional $78,814 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 8.04% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. The MIDVALE CITY - Public Safety invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or virtually.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Midvale City will make reasonable accommodations for participation in the meeting. Request assistance by contacting the City Recorder at 801-567-7207, providing at least three (3) working days advance notice of the meeting.

Council Members may participate in the meeting via electronic communications. Council Members' participation via electronic communication will be broadcast and amplified so other Council Members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear or see the communication.
