NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE

at Murray.utah.gov no later than 24 hours before the public hearing is
scheduled to begin.

MURRAY CITY is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
MURRAY CITY tax on a $614,000 residence would increase from $462.65 to
$488.99, which is $26.34 per year.
MURRAY CITY tax on a $614,000 business would increase from $841.18 to
$889.07, which is $47.90 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, MURRAY CITY would receive an additional
$714,297 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the
proposed budget is approved, MURRAY CITY would increase its property tax
budgeted revenue by 5.66% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue
excluding eligible new growth.
MURRAY CITY invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of
hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons
for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to participate in the public
hearing in person or virtually.

Notice of Electronic or Telephone Participation
Council Members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication. If a Council Member does participate via telephonic communication, the Council Member will be on speaker phone. The speaker phone will be amplified so that the other Council Members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear all discussions.

The Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. An annual meeting schedule is adopted and published in a newspaper of general circulation at the beginning of the year. Meeting agendas are also published on the City's website, as are approved
