Description/Agenda
The Daggett County Health Clinic and The New Community Health and Social Services Building As a part of Daggett County's continued desire to meet the expanding needs of our County, we are excited to see the New County Community Health and Social Services Building nearing completion. We hope to move the Manila Health Clinic into our new building by September. Everyone is invited to the Open House which the County will announce soon. In preparation for moving into the New Community Health and Social Services Building, Daggett County recently posted a Request for Qualifications and Statement of Interest (RFQ). In doing so the County was reaching out to find the best qualified medical and dental providers who were interested in providing medical and dental services in Daggett County. Because of our long-standing relationship with Uintah Basin Healthcare (UBH), Daggett County personally extended any invitation to UBH and ask them to submit a proposal. Instead of submitting a proposal, on June 26, 2026, UBH sent a letter to the County saying: 'After careful consideration, we (UBH) are writing to inform you that we are declining the offer to participate in the upcoming Request for Proposal process ... Please accept this letter as our official 90-day notice that we will conclude our operations and will no longer be providing UBH clinic, laboratory, pharmacy, and radiological services within your building after the 2nd of October' Daggett County is grateful to (UBH) for all the years of service they have provided. The County expresses our deep gratitude. We are also excited to announce that the County has accepted a proposal from Ashley Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The County is in the process of finalizing the terms of our agreement. We are excited ARMC is willing to expand clinic hours and offer walk-in appointments. The County has also accepted a proposal from a dentist, and hope to soon offer Counseling services as well as Physical and Occupational Therapy. UBH has promised to continue to provide the same level of clinical care through October 2, 2026, or until (ARMC) is ready to provide services. The County and Ashley Regional Medical Center (ARMC) are currently working together as we establish ARMC as Daggett County's next area medical provider!
